The CAM team manages the Capital One relationship with our payment network partners, currently focused on Visa and Mastercard. We manage our contract negotiations with the networks, including those for new issuance, new product development, tech development, research initiatives, cardholder benefits, and others. The team serves as the liaison between the payment networks and the various lines of business within Capital One, including Consumer Card, Business Cards & Payments (BC&P), Retail Bank, Canada, and the UK. The team partners horizontally with teams in Fraud, Authorizations, Emerging Payments, ESM, and Channels to ensure Capital One complies with network business requirements, developments, and mandates or network rules. Finally, the team works to optimize network economics from the perspective of fees, incentives, and interchange to maximize cardholder experiences and corporate financial performance.
We are seeking a strategically minded Relationship Manager, supporting US Consumer Card. You will be responsible for working with the Payment Networks, and our internal partners, to identify, assess, and execute strategies that will impact Consumer Card. This role is responsible for project management, support, coordination and risk management logistics for complex Capital One third party relationships which reach across business areas and divisions, like Fraud, Channels, and Emerging Payments. Understanding Network strategies in these areas and the impacts on Consumer Card will be a large focus of your role. Relationship Management at Capital One is a key function for the company that requires an attention to detail, as well as confident and effective communication to all levels, to maximize efficiencies when working with third parties, like the Payment Networks. An ability to apply judgement and influence at all levels, including senior leadership will be instrumental to your success in this role.
As part of the Card Association Management (CAM) team, you will:
Support ongoing CAM Run The Engine work, beginning with a deep dive on CAM 101
Be a key contributor to CAM Strategy and intent, coordinating execution and delivery of campaigns in partnership with various fulfillment partners and a complex relationship matrix, including but not limited to projects that support current and future contract objectives
Be a key contributor to new tech designs and launches planned in Consumer Card
Help identify operational needs to support interactions and escalations
Balance internal and external priorities, resource challenges
Seek to continuously improve the execution of projects with degrees of operational complexity
Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to changing demands
Document key activities to fulfill audit and risk functions
Act as a thought-leader & partner with internal partners, across Consumer Card, as well as a designated performer on other projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 4 years of experience in process or project management in a financial services industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Masters/MBA
7+ years of Financial Services Experience
1+ years of process documentation experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication, problem solving and collaboration skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Project ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
