Capital One’s Early Internship Programs give new college students real-world experience and the tools to grow both personally and professionally. Over the course of a summer, you’ll step into meaningful roles—whether in business, technology or strategy—building critical skills while contributing to work that matters.
These programs are designed for first and second-year undergraduate students to help you develop your talents while preparing for future internships and full-time opportunities at Capital One.

Location: In-person at our McLean office
Housing: Corporate housing provided for participants
CURRENT PROGRAMS
Analyst Early Internship Program
In this program, you’ll dive into the world of business analysis—learning how to turn data into insights that drive real business decisions. You’ll strengthen your problem-solving skills, gain hands-on experience with SQL and develop the strategic thinking needed to make a meaningful impact at Capital One.
By the end of the summer, you’ll have sharpened your ability to:
- Analyze complex data and uncover actionable insights
- Present your findings to key stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Tackle business challenges with a data-first mindset
Real projects, real impact
As an Early Internship Program participant, you’ll work on projects that make a meaningful difference for Capital One and its customers. Past interns and analysts have:
- Developed strategies to make card rewards more transparent and customer-friendly
- Helped design new security features like enhanced multi-factor authentication
- Supported marketing campaigns that attracted new credit card customers
- Used data and design thinking to improve the functionality and user experience of Capital One’s mobile app
Your project may focus on business strategy, tech innovation or customer experience—giving you the chance to apply your skills, collaborate with experts and see the real-world results of your work.
This program is a powerful stepping stone toward our Analyst Internship Program and Analyst Development Program.

Who: First-year students and sophomores pursuing a quantitative or STEM major
