As a Tech Recruiting Manager, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact, dynamic leadership role and truly own the talent pipeline for our technology organization. You will be a crucial partner to highly engaged stakeholders, leading your team to execute end-to-end strategy: from creatively sourcing great talent to expertly guiding them through the selection process. Beyond day-to-day execution, you'll be a visionary leader—consulting with internal clients and driving projects that enhance the recruiting ecosystem. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about leveraging emerging trends and innovative techniques to ensure we remain a best-in-class recruitment shop.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • People Leadership - Lead and develop a team of 5-7 recruiters responsible for attracting, identifying and hiring great talent into the Tech organization

  • Client management - Engage with tower leadership, hiring managers and other key stakeholders to understand recruiting needs and develop strategy to meet hiring goals

  • Candidate management – Guide your team of recruiters to develop and execute sourcing plans while creating relationships with candidates to facilitate process and offer acceptance

  • Ad hoc Project work - Lead and participate in team and enterprise-wide TA project work, partnering with peers across the organization to create and share solutions 

  • Administrative tasks - Leverage Workday and other recruiting technologies to fulfill expectations of the role

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification 

  • At least 5 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting OR a combination of the three

  • At least 4 years of people leadership experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in Client Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification

  • 5+ years of full life cycle Tech Corporate Recruiting experience including research and sourcing

  • 5+ years of experience in Client Management

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience

  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring

  • Experience analyzing metrics, trends, and data, and using them to make strategic changes

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Recruiting Manager


Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Recruiting Manager










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
