Our Talent and Performance Management team is on a mission to transform the associate experience by launching a brand new, fully integrated talent and performance management platform. This isn't a simple software rollout—it's a complete evolution of our people processes, designed to be delightful, efficient, data-driven, and empowering for everyone at the company.
As the Talent & Performance Management Leader, you will be at the forefront of this transformation. You'll coordinate a full-scale enterprise launch of the new platform across all our U.S. and international locations and business lines. You'll lead a high-performing team focused on the following key areas:
Communications & Training: Develop and deliver all communication and training programs for new talent and performance management processes.
Operational Excellence: Oversee annual operations for talent and performance management, driving and optimizing well-managed operations.
Risk & Analytics: Manage risk and leverage data to ensure our processes are well-managed and compliant.
Strategic Partnerships: Influence product strategy and drive enterprise adoption by partnering closely with product, LOB HR, and brand and marketing teams. This includes developing compelling content and knowledge management plans to maximize awareness and adoption.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with HR and Corporate Communications to align on information architecture, knowledge management, and communications, including videos, emails, site content, organizational leader communications, and more.
Leadership: You're a proven leader-of-leaders who can manage a diverse and high-performing team.
Strategic Acumen: You have exceptional problem-solving and process-engineering skills. You're comfortable designing KPIs and building closed-loop accountability mechanisms.
Change Management Expertise: You have experience building high-impact marketing and change management strategies.
Results-Oriented: You have a clear and intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals.
Influence & Collaboration: You have the ability to strategically influence senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders, driving alignment through intellect, negotiation, and a highly collaborative approach.
Accountability: You're skilled at aligning strategies with VP and above stakeholders and partner teams accountable to their commitments.
Autonomy: You can lead special projects independently and through cross-functional partnerships, and you handle highly sensitive issues with discretion.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 4 Years of Project Management experience
At least 2 Years of People Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
5+ years of Project Management experience
3+ years of People Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
5+ years of experience in scaled project or program management
3+ years of experience in product management
3+ years of experience in financial modeling or quantitative analysis

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Project MgmtCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
