General Responsibilities:

As a Principal Project Manager you will:

  • Act as a thought leader to design, plan and implement strategies in support of the Retail Risk Chief of Staff team. 

  • Lead cross-functional projects supporting defined priorities that you will define how the project supports; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.

  • Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.

  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation.

  • Participate and sometimes lead regular meetings with the leadership team. 

  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.

  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.

  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

  • Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work and manage ambiguity.

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

  • Display a proactive nature with a desire to take action and try new things. Highly organized, able to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize work.

  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands, suggest shifts in priority based on experience.

  • Display excellent consulting and collaboration skills.

  • Continually wants to develop and learn new things.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters degree

  • 4+ years of Project Management experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership

  • Experience working on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts
